Kaylene is a southern American saving her pennies for traveling. Her blog, Cheers to traveling, was started in October 2015 and recounts Kaylene’s travels and shares fellow travelers experiences through guest posts. Living just outside of Nashville, TN, she grew up traveling around the United States and has now traveled to 18 countries across North America, South America, and Europe in the past three years. Kaylene is most interested in covering outdoor adventures, unique local experiences, travel photography, and anything that makes us say “cheers to traveling.”
Kaylene has a degree in Communication with a minor in English: Writing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She worked for the university newspaper, The Echo, as a staff writer and assistant sports editor during her time as a student. Following that, she worked in UTC Athletic Department’s Communications & Media Relations office as a sports information assistant for a year. She’s also written and completed research for TripScout, a travel app with local and authentic self-guided tours, in addition to helping them write two chapters in How to Become a Digital Nomad and helping curate the Nashville guide alongside the TripScout team and local food and travel experts.
